I don’t know why mystery enthrall’s me but, kind of like a good Hitchcock film, I take what is revealed and try to fill in the gaps using my imagination. There’s something in our mind that likes to engage in piecing the puzzle together to reveal a conclusion.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal">I try to solve mysteries in my head all the time and I constantly catch my imagination adding fictional extensions, to what I understand as truth, leading my mind to potential assumptions. This process isn’t reliable because it’s partly fabricated and if left in the safety of my mind, it has the power to influence… usually in a negative way.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">Light, on the contrary, has a way of eliminating darkness. If I speak or write out this inner process it seems to help it remain grounded. Though it requires an element of vulnerability, before others or myself, it minimises the amount of mystery my mind has to create fictional speculations.</p> <p class="MsoNormal">This doesn’t relate to the photo at all, it’s just me processing the process in the light for a moment.
